Where our prices come from, how Mervo makes money, what the badges mean, and how alerts and your account work.
We collect prices from the stores' own product feeds, read every 6 hours. Where a store has no feed, we check its product pages every 6 hours, and every 2 hours for products people watch.
Offers are ordered by our published ranking, and the same rules apply to every store.
Every store is listed for free. We earn money in three ways:
Payment never changes the order of the results, and no store is hidden or unlinked for not paying.
When a store advertises a reduced price with a “before” price, we check that before price against the store's own prices in this country.
In Denmark, the before price must be the lowest price the store itself charged in the 30 days before the reduction (Prismærkningsbekendtgørelsen § 9 a (førpris); Forbrugerombudsmandens retningslinjer for prismarkedsføring (2022), pkt. 4 og 14).
For goods that perish quickly, the window is 14 days.
A price may be marketed as reduced for at most 50 % of the period in which the normal price applied before it. Offers are meant to be short (10 days, 5 days for goods that deteriorate quickly) unless an extension is announced.
The badges you can see:
Each badge links to the evidence: the store's prices, the rule and our arithmetic. A store can dispute a verdict; a disputed verdict stays visible and is marked as disputed.
We show what our data shows and which rule applies. Questions about a store's obligations are for Forbrugerombudsmanden.
Stores change prices between our checks, so the price at the store is the one that counts. We show when we last saw the prices.
Prices include VAT. Shipping is shown separately, and we show a total only when we know the shipping cost.
Stock and delivery times come from the store and can change quickly.
Watch a product and choose a target price or any drop. We check it every time we update prices and tell you by email or push.
We send no alerts between 22:00 and 07:00, local time in Denmark; they arrive in the morning instead.
You get at most one alert per product every 24 hours, unless the price falls another 5 %.
You do not need an account. Without one, email alerts start after you confirm your address.
You can watch up to 100 products per country.
A row marked “Annonce · Ad” is a paid placement. It is an extra row: the ordinary results keep their order.
A paid row is never placed above an in-stock offer that is more than 2 % cheaper, and there is at most one for every 5 results.
Scanning a barcode finds the product by its EAN/GTIN among the products listed in this country.
Photos used to search are not stored or logged.
One account works on every Mervo site, with separate alerts and settings per country. You sign in with a link sent to your email; there is no password.
On the account page you can download your data or delete your account. Deleting removes your alerts and settings; clicks stay in our statistics without any link to you.
